Spring graduation 2025

Graduating from Birkbeck with distinction and winning the 2025 Peter Cheeseman Award, Samantha balanced theatre and visual art with running a materials research company, despite chronic pain.

A shared love for University Challenge ignited Nicholas and Grace’s connection. Years later, they both pursued master's degrees at Birkbeck. Five years on, they still watch University Challenge weekly, cheering for Birkbeck, now as graduates together.

Ahmed Ramadan is from Gaza and despite war, loss and illness, he continued his studies. Support from friends and from Birkbeck helped him to persevere. His journey shows that success is possible even in the face of unimaginable hardship.
