  • Do you struggle to distinguish your own ideas from those in the sources you cite in your assignments?
  • Do markers tell you that you need to develop your academic 'voice'?

If you said yes to any of the above questions, then join us in this workshop.

In this second of two sessions on academic writing as a conversation, we will consider how to distinguish your own voice and ideas from those of the other academic voices you bring into your writing. We will also consider how to show your reader why what you’re discussing matters, and the importance of signposting for leading your reader through your argument. Throughout, we will consider a range of practical templates you can use to achieve these objectives in your own writing.
