Online
At our last Linking London IAG Practitioner Group meeting of 2024/25, aimed at careers advisers, student support staff, tutors/teachers and university outreach and admissions staff, held in person, we will be finding out about the very latest UCAS developments and changes for 2026 entry, as well as taking a closer look at higher technical qualifications. We will also be exploring, via small group discussion, partners key challenges and good practice in supporting learners to make the transition on to higher level learning.
Attendees will be hearing from Carolyn Mindos Principal Admissions Reform Lead at UCAS, who will be sharing the latest policy news and developments, including the significant change to the personal statement for 2026 entry. This will be followed by perspectives from our HE partners on how to advise students to make a strong UCAS application.
Rebecca Mameli, Head of Research and Qualification Development, Pearson, will then be providing an overview of higher technical qualifications, as well as the latest news and developments.
The second part of the meeting will focus on small group discussion on partners priorities, including key challenges as well as what works and support needed, in the context of offering an effective IAG programme to learners interested in higher education. Colleagues will have an opportunity to find out more about our HE partners outreach offer for 2025-26, as well as discuss information and support gaps and help shape Linking London’s work in this area.
Meetings are aimed at Careers Advisers, Teachers and University Outreach & Admissions Staff but are open to any staff at partner institutions who are interested in IAG relating to HE progression.
Please note this event is for Linking London Partners only.
